On-campus study

Find inspiration in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a beautiful city – to visit, to study in. So why not come and see for yourself. As part of Heriot-Watt University, we share a campus on the green edge of the city. Here, students from all over the world attend courses at the School's state-of-the-art teaching facilities and enjoy a whole range of social activities.

You can study specific courses for the MBA, MSc or DBA programmes, or you can study the entire MBA on campus on a full-time or part-time basis. We do expect all students to have spent time studying the course materials prior to the commencement of classes. This makes sure that the time spent with the Edinburgh Business School Faculty can be dedicated to adding value through case studies, simulations and practical applications rather than conventional teaching lectures.

Edinburgh Business School four-day tutorials

A schedule of intensive four-day tutorials in selected courses is delivered at Edinburgh Business School.

These seminars are based on the School's experience of teaching to corporations and ten years' experience of delivering value-added seminars. Students not wishing to complete the entire MBA on campus can simply select which of these seminars they would like to attend.

Full information on the four-day tutorials can be found under the relevant programme in the About our programmes section.

Edinburgh Business School two-day revision seminars

Two-day revision seminars in selected subjects are delivered on campus at Edinburgh Business School. They are designed to provide advice on examination preparation.

Full information on the two-day revision seminars can be found under the relevant programme in the About our programmes section.

p>I chose this MBA programme based on three criteria: flexibility, popularity and range of programmes available. The specialism in HRM was perfect for me, and I liked that this programme did not require me to submit periodic assignments, only self-study and examinations as frequently as my work schedule would permit. This was important to me. I was able to schedule my exams according to how heavy my workload was and pace my personal study schedule to suit.

Good programme, great flexibility, with online and electronic study resources to help me along the way.
